GOOD LUCK CARE BEAR

This is the pattern for Clover on Good Luck Care Bear’s belly.  The Body Color that I used for Good Luck Care Bear is #672 Spring Green of the Red Heart Super Saver brand.  It took me four skeins of DMC floss for the detail color.  I took me one skein of DMC floss for the Red Heart.

MATERIALS

BODY COLOR:  Red Heart Super Saver:     #672 Spring Green

                                                              #311 White

DETAIL COLOR:        DMC Floss:                 #895 Hunter Green

#6 Steel crochet hook

Sewing needle

CLOVER

Rd 1:   7 sc in magic ring.  (7)

Rd 2:   2 sc in each sc around.  (14)

Leaf #1

Rw 1:   sc in next 3 sc leaving remaining sc unworked.

Rws 2-10:        ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across to last sc, 2 sc in last sc.  (11 sc in Row 10)

Rw 11: ch1, turn; sc in each sc across.  (11)

Rw 12: Turn; skip next 2 sc, 5 dc in next sc, skip next 2 sc, slip st in next sc, skip next 2 sc, 5 dc in next sc, skip next sc, slip st in next sc, slip st down side of LEAF to Rd 2.

Leaf #2 thru #4

Rw 1:   slip st in next sc of Rd 2, ch 1, sc in next 3 sc.  (3)

Rws 2-12:        Repeat Rows 2 thru 12 of LEAF #1.

Stem

Rw 1:   slip st in next sc of Rd 2, ch 16, hdc in third ch from hook, hdc in next 3 ch, sc in next 9 ch, slip st in next sc on Rd 2.

Finish off.  Sew to Belly.
